so the wedding went amazing. no joke. it was amazing.

we should be getting a disk.. and if everything went the same as with steve and rachels wedding (colleens.. well.. mine as well sister and brother in law) it should be copyright free images we get. so.. lots of pictures on my blog. i do have pictures of the honeymoon, if you want to see all of them head over to henrie.biz/nitch and click on honeymoon.zip.. its like 40 megs.. so kinda big. but lots of images.

the honeymoon was amazing.. it was at an all inclusive resort in tulum, mexico.. which is in riviera maya.. or something.. man.. my geography.. sucks..

basically we would wake up, go eat, swim in the ocean, shower by the pool, swim in the pool.. and by swim i mean swim up to the bar in the pool and drink for awhile.. head up to the room, watch an episode of monk (we brought the dvd box set and they have dvd players in the room) take a nap, wake up, order room service, shower, go swimming.. drinking.. whatever.. go shower again, get dressed, and go out to eat, then lay by the beach and watch the stars.. it was amazing.

omg, i am about to be married!!!

its so close!! so close.. just hours away.. like.. i know it is cliched.. but.. it seems like yesterday i proposed.. and now. its like.. in hours.. where did the time go?? so exciting.. my stomache is all butterflys.. oh man.. i feel like im forgetting something.. but i think everything is ready to go.. everything.. amazing.. jonathans been a huge help.. all the best men are helping.. everythings together..

why upload so slow? / i posted pictures. / sooner than i thought i would

this is kinda the culimation of my boredom/ wanting to do something destructive. eventually i am going to get a usb to snes adapter for my super nintendo controller. i dont know why i dont play my actual real super nintendo.. all i have been playing lately is my wii. hopefully now ill get back to the silver age of video games. im going to emulate NES games on it as well. but i really hate playing NES without a real controller. so ill wait till i get the adapter to install it.

wedding stuff is pretty awesome/ i am typing this on my laptop in a picture frame

yes, that is a pretty long title. am i annoying colleen right now by typing? not sure. adam gave me this super awesome keyboard. (btw.. colleen says the typing does not annoy her).. but adam gave this keybaord.. it has a laptop style track pad.. i dont know the word. exactly.. but its like the mouse pad on a laptop keybaord. i dont know. its awesome.

i spent most of today with my nana.. i didnt know she was town.. i woke up this morning.. and really wanted a cup of coffee.. but didnt really feel like brewing it myself.. well.. actually i did want to brew it myself.. but i didnt want to drink it at home..

so i got into my car and just drove.. it was awesome.. NPR was playing great music.. and i just wanted to keep driving for a bit.. ended up near powers.. and thought i would just go by target real quick.. wandered around target for like 45 minutes.. i know.. lots of trivial data here today folks..decided i was hungry.. thought about going chic-fil-e.. can i spell? no.. can i use grammer? no.. not really. .

decided against it.. not sure why.. thought i would visit my parents.. got there and my mom wasnt home, but my nana was.. so i visited with them for a bit, my mom got home. we visited.. my nana wanted chic-fil-e so i ran down therand picked up the food.. oh man.. i dont know why your still reading this?> really.. its pretty boring.. boring?? yeah..

so i upgraded the ram on my computer. i am now at 2 gigs.. im running xp.. running tf2 a lot smoother now. the boot up is about the same though. .man.. why do you care about this?

the family is starting to get here.. its really exciting.. my nerves are crazy… so exciting.. i found the perfect song for our exit from the wedding.. its going to be epic. promise. if i can pull it off anyways.. not sure that we can have exit music.. lol..

speaking of music.. oh man.. i need to get all the songs for the wedding picked out.. we have the big ones.. all teh dances everything like that.. its the party music.. ive had so many ideas.. just need to get them together and make sure i have like lists and playlists.. just nothing actually there.. together.. in burnable form …

so anyways.. got the computer running.. has like (as far as i know) every SNES game released in the US. and some weird home brew ones.. i love it.

it really feels like it just snuck up.. .oh man.. its like next week.

this week has just been insanely busy.. pre-marital counseling, dinner with parents, shopping for gifts and cards and . oh man.. its been busy. on monday we left the house around 7: 30am and didnt get home until like 9: 30pm.. it is exhausting. but i do love it. i cant wait.. oh man.. im excited.

i do have to say though.. our parents have been amazing.. i dont think were going through near the stress most couples do. they have really been on the ball taking care of everything. i love it.

our wedding is going to be a bit south of here (colorado springs).. like maybe half an hour.. so we still need to figure out the designated driver thing. but everything is really falling into place. actually. its like already in place. just a few more things (i need to get on the music!!!)

this morning-ish colleen and i decided it would be a great day for garage sailing.  which is wasnt. way too hot. and for the most part, the garage sales sucked. but we found this estate sale that had these amazing vhs. thinking they were gonna be like 25 cents a piece i picked out like five. turns out she was selling them for 3 bucks a piece. for VHS! crazy. anyways next i make it to the massive vinyl collection. they were in really good shape, and a lot of gems. i should have picked up more. but thus is life.

which linux distro/ i hate the democratic party

so. i pretty much decided that i need to be running linux on my laptop (in the picture frame.. i promise.. pictures to come, looks way better in person than in the pic). i currently have windows xp running as light as i can get it.. it still uses 96 megs of ram. i have 128.. so like.. anything i run is going to eat up the rest of the ram. ive pretty much decided to run with mepis. sopposedly it runs fine with 128 megs of ram. but.. so does windows xp.. so.. we’ll find out yeah? and i heard it can run a lot of wifi cards out of the box. which.. i hope.. i hope.. it will do.

so i was reading cnn this morning, and saw that nancy pelosi said that bush was ‘ a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject’

at first i was like ‘good job, people are speaking up’ then i was like.. no.. she’s just retarded. is she letting the telecoms have immunity? yes.

i mean. yes. bush is a failure. obvs. but she’s the failures little bitch.

useless laptop into slightly more useful laptop

on saturday i saw that article about the guy who turned his old mostly crap laptop into a thing of beauty.. namely he turned it into an old arcade machine. which got me thinking.. i have like.. pretty much every snes and nes game ever made (in rom form) and i have an old laptop laying around that would emulate an NES/SNES/N64/genesis/master system/old dos games..

so i flipped the monitor around (thats when you know you aernt going back) picked up a shadow box at micheals for 15 bucks, used to shoe polish, a hammer, some bike parts i had laying around, a crushed black velvet pillow we no longer used and a wrapping paper tube and made my own little.. useless? thing.

i have a couple ideas for it. the most prominent being getting an SNES to usb controller and playing video games with it.. but then i thought it would be cool to have little widgets displaying twitter feeds, myspace/facebook status’s flickr streams, weather forecast, clock.. all that crap displaying on it..

but 128 megs of RAM just doesnt cut it.. not with windows anyways.

so for now i have a picture of the mona lisa on it..

ill put up some more picture so you can see detail.. but i like it.
